Before your scheduled consultation with us we would like to help you plan and prepare ahead of time so that we can maximize your time with us.

It would be best to join from your computer instead of a mobile phone so you have a large viewing area and are able to follow along as we show you how to use google analytics and other tools to assess the performance of your site.

New Site Designs

If you're getting ready to start on a website makeover or even a brand new site, it's best if you can take a few minutes and jot down any ideas you have as to how you want your website to look and function. Make notes and collect links to websites your like the look of. It's OK to like one part, and not like another. If you've seen functions or features on other sites you would like to incorporate into your new site, let us know that as well.

This is also the time to start collecting the best images of your products you can get. It's also the perfect time to address your brand and whether or not you need to update your company logo and company color pallet.

Google Accounts

We will want to check your Google Analytics performance to help gauge the overall performance of your site. It also provides valuable insights into how visitors interact with your website, what pages they visit, how long they stay, and where they come from. It is important to know that google links all their services into one account. Some of the key features Google Analytics offers that we use to help gauge your site performance are tracking codes that we have added to your website to collect data about user behavior. Analytics also provides a wide range of data analysis tools that allow us to understand how users interact with your website. Google Analytics can also be integrated with other Google services, like Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. This allows you to track the performance of your advertising campaigns and analyze user behavior across multiple channels.

Keeping  all your Google services under one login makes it easier to access, integrate, track, and manage your website and advertising campaigns, while also improving security and efficiency. Google 2-step Login Verification is a security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your Google account. We typically recommend using the Text (SMS) option as it tends to be the most reliable way to get the verification code to log in. When you enable Login Verification, you'll need to provide a second factor of authentication in addition to your password in order to sign in to your account. Domain Names & Hosting?

Domains and hosting are two separate components of a website, and understanding the difference between them is important for anyone using a website for business. Both your domain and hosting services are valuable assets to your company and any changes made can have drastic effects on your site. It is important to understand what each of these is, and what they do, before sharing access to them in order to protect the integrity, functionality and accessibility of your site.

A domain is the name of your website, and it's what people type into their browser to access your site. When you register a domain name, you're essentially purchasing the right to use that name for a set period of time (usually one year), and you'll need to renew your registration before it expires if you want to keep using the domain. Hosting, on the other hand, is the service that allows you to store and access your website's files and data. When you sign up for a hosting service, you're essentially renting space on a server that's connected to the internet. This server will store your website's files and data, and it will make them available to anyone who wants to access your site. In other words, a domain is like the address of your website, while hosting is like the physical space where your website lives. You need both a domain and hosting to make your website accessible to others on the internet.
