Q: What is your process for designing and developing a website?

 

A: Our design process is very unique in the web development industry, in that we will show you exactly what your website will look like before you have to commit to a large investment. First, we only require a $100 refundable deposit to get on our production schedule. Then we will schedule a design meeting with our team, and you can fill us in on what you’re looking for, and what you’re seen on the web that you like and features or elements you would like incorporated into your web design. Next we’ll create a complete design draft for your review so you can see your design vision come to life. Only upon your approval of the design draft, will we move to coding and programming of your design. At that point your deposit is increased to 50%, with the balance being due upon completion and the site going live.

 

 

Q: How long will it take to complete my website?

 

A: The timeline of your project completion is really dependent on the specifics of the project. However, as a general rule we usually would need 7 to 10 days start to finish. That being said, it will ultimately be subject to timely decisions and sharing of info and resources from the client.

A: Yes, SWD is a full service web development agency and we can create a maintenance and support package specific to your company’s needs.

A: The simple answer is yes! However, you must also understand the reality is subject to your personal capabilities and experience. That being said, SWD also includes orientation training with each website project as well as ongoing training and mentoring as needed.

Q: Can you help with content creation or copyrighting?

 

A: Yes! Content creation is billed at an hourly rate when needed.



Q: How will you handle any website downtime or issues that arise?

 

A: You can always count on SWD to take the lead on resolving website downtime. However, that being said, there are many possibilities for causes of such occurrences. If the issue is caused by something resulting from our work, there of course would be no charges involved. If a situation arises where the issue is the result of a 3rd party or platform and you just want SWD to act on your behalf as your technical administrator, then hourly charges may occur.



Q: Will my website comply with accessibility standards?

A: That is what SWD does best! Most 3rd party platforms in the business have come directly to SWD to create new innovations for their customers. If you have a need or an idea that you would like created for your website, SWD will schedule a meeting to go over what you have in mind, and then offer up options on how it could be achieved. Custom app programming is then quoted for project costs, and timeline for your approval.



Q: Do you have a project management tool for tracking progress and updates?

 

A: Yes! Your $100 deposit starts the production schedule of your project at SWD. During which we use a number of internal procedures and project management software to make sure your project stays on track.



Q: How will we communicate during the project?

 

A: Generally we will listen to what method suits you best at the time of your project start. SWD has a company wide communication system between team members and customers. Phone, email, text, live chat.



Q: What is your policy on revisions and changes during the development process?

 

A: SWD has 3 check points for review during our project development process. Approval of the initial design draft. Coding and programming check before going live, and final live check before project completion (Final Live Check) As long as any revisions or changes required are relative to the original design approval, there are no extra charges. Any new elements, features, or additional applications would be subject to specific charges, which would be quoted at the time of request and charges would need to be approved before being implemented. 



Q: What do you need from me to get started?

 

A: $100 deposit starts the process. 50% deposit increase is due at the time of design approval, and the balance is due on completion (Site going live)



Q: Can you assist with domain registration and hosting setup?

 

A: Yes! SWD is an approved GoDaddy Pro Member. And we have our own hosting services or can administer 3rd party services on your behalf.

 

 

Q: How do you handle website backups and disaster recovery?

 

A: Website backup and recovery services are subject to your hosting provider. However we can assist you with reviewing that service with your provider for your own piece of mind.



Q: What steps will you take to optimize my website for conversions?

 

A: Maximizing conversion value on any website depends on a number of factors. When you get a website from SWD, we include a website training session that not only includes learning how to manage your website, but we will also go over steps you can take to continually work on improving your website’s conversion rate. That’s why we always includes set up of Google analytics on every SWD website.
